Decoding the A to XXX: Unmasking Abbreviations and Jargon in Adult Entertainment

If you are in the adult industry to very quickly get used to using shorthand, or jargon for various acts or scenes, and it’s easy to forget, they are not obvious for everyone. So.. my lovely followers: Here are some common abbreviations and terms used in the adult entertainment industry:

  • DP: Double Penetration – When a performer is penetrated by two partners simultaneously, often one vaginally and one anally.
  • BG: Boy/Girl – A scene featuring a male and female performer.
  • BGA: Boy/Girl/Anal – A scene involving a male and female performer engaging in both vaginal and anal intercourse.
  • GG: Girl/Girl – A scene featuring two female performers.
  • BBG: Bareback Boy/Girl – A scene featuring unprotected sexual intercourse between a male and female performer.
  • BBC: Big Black Cock – Refers to a male performer with a notably large penis.
  • BBW: Big Beautiful Woman – Typically used to describe a female performer with a curvier or larger body type.
  • BJ: Blow Job – Oral sex performed on a male.
  • CIM: Cum In Mouth – A scene where a male ejaculates into the mouth of a partner.
  • DAP: Double Anal Penetration – When a performer is penetrated anally by two partners simultaneously.
  • DV: Double Vaginal – When a female performer is penetrated vaginally by two partners simultaneously.
  • EIP: Erotic Image Provider – Used to describe individuals or entities who create and distribute adult content.
  • Fetish: A genre of adult content focused on specific sexual interests or activities, like BDSM, foot fetish, etc.
  • GILF: Grannies I’d Like to Fuck – Typically used to describe very mature women who are sexually attractive.
  • DILF: Dad I’d Like to Fuck – Typically used to describe older men who are sexually attractive.
  • MILF: Mother I’d Like to Fuck – Typically used to describe older women who are sexually attractive.
  • POV: Point of View – A style of filming that gives viewers the impression of experiencing the scene from the performer’s perspective. There are, as a result, limits to what acts can be performed. Usually, the camera is of the man’s point of view, so they cannot draw near to kiss, lick, bite, lick the tits or pussy of the woman (or other performer). Similarly, if it is female POV, then there can be no oral, kissing, or close facial contact, as the view will mainly be of the man licking her tits, pussy and fucking in missionary position, or possibly cowgirl.
  • T&A: Tits and Ass – Refers to explicit content focused on breasts and buttocks.
  • VR: Virtual Reality – Adult content created for virtual reality platforms, providing a more immersive experience. You need a VR headset to experience the 3D effect, but it means you can move your head around to see the scene from other angles.
  • BDSM: Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, Masochism – A genre of adult content that explores various aspects of dominance and submission. Often this includes being tied, or whipped/flogged or spanked.
  • CFNM: Clothed Female, Naked Male – Scenes where women are clothed while men are naked.
  • Gangbang: A scene featuring one person (often female) engaging in sexual activity with multiple partners simultaneously.
  • IR: Interracial – Scenes featuring performers of different racial backgrounds.
  • ATM: Ass to Mouth – A scene where a performer moves from anal intercourse to oral intercourse without cleaning in between. This is possible when the ass has been specifically cleaned before.
  • Skiing: When a girl is in the middle of two guys, simultaneously “pleasuring” them with her hands. Got a visual?
  • Gonzo: A type of pornography in which the camera is acknowledged and often used by the actors to make the viewer feel like part of the scene. Notable gonzo directors include John Stagliano, Max Hardcore, Erik Everhard and Belladonna, and Gonzo
  • Golden showers or watersports: Urinating onto a partner’s body.
  • Pearl necklace: Ejaculating around the next of the woman so it looks like a necklace
  • Facial: Cumming over the partners face.
  • Bukkake: When many guys all cum over the woman’s face and body.
  • Creampie: The man cums in the pussy and you see it dripping out (or Anal Creampie where the cum is in the ass).
  • Money shot: The cum shot – The main highlight part of the scene where the man or woman cums.
  • Upskirt: The fetish of taking photos/videos up a woman’s skirt to see their underwear (if they are wearing any!).
  • GFE: Girlfriend Experience It’s SEX! It’s… sex. It’s everything you’d do with your partner, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, whatever. It’s the basics; it’s hugging, chatting, smiling, drinkning together, kissing, licking, blow jobs, hand jobs, oral, penetration.
  • PSE: Porn Star Experience. Same as the Girlfriend Experience, only louder and more expressive – perhaps some amazing positions you’ve only seen in the movies, or talking more dirty and full of expression. We pull more exaggerated faces and say, ‘Oh yeah, oh god yeah!’ a lot more. Porn stars know that most people LOVE sound in the bedroom; they LOVE dirty loud talking; they LOVE seeing the woman freely expressing their love of the sex.
  • DFK: Deep French Kissing. Lots of tongues and passion. It’s not normally included in GFE/PSE, and will depend on the connection – and cleanliness – of the partners.
  • CERTed: This means to have very recent STD test certificates to prove you are free of diseases. In professional porn productions each performer must show their full test before performing
  • Micky Mouse: On the porn set, for legal reasons, the performer needs to hold up 2 forms of ID either side their face, and have it photographed as proof of identify and consent.
  • A-levels / Anal: This is anal sex.
  • OWO: Oral sex without protection. Personally, I hate the taste and feel of condoms, so I must prefer sucking guys off without (Of course, that means recent STD tests though).
  • BTS: Behind The Scenes. This is a photo or video of the shoot being made, or of the performers or crew casually hanging out before or after the shoot. Permission is needed before taking such material.

Please note that the adult industry has a wide range of genres and terminology, and the list above covers only a portion of the commonly used abbreviations and terms. It’s important to approach adult content with respect for the performers and consent between all parties involved.
